For better or for worse, 2010’s holiday season has concluded. Chances are you’ve acquired a copious amount of gifted goodies, as well as piles of holiday catalogues and other paper paraphernalia.
Those paper products are probably headed right for the trash recycling bin, but they don’t have to! Furthermore, wrapping paper is often difficult to recycle due to its unique additives. Solution? Upcycling (i.e., reworking a useless product into a useful one)!
I recently gifted myself with Playing with Books, a book on upcycling books (ironic I know, but wonderful nonetheless).
It’s filled with creative ideas worth expanding upon with your own little twists. However, the upcycling fun doesn’t have to end with books. Magazines, old holiday cards, wrapping paper, catalogues… you name it, you can upcycle it!
Playing with paper can be lots of fun. Let the games begin!
